Motorbike

I’ve been riding motorbikes for 30 years. What started with a purple second-hand Honda has grown into a great many miles and quite a few motorbike holidays.

My motorbikes

The first

Honda CBR600F

A purple second-hand one, but a great bike to start out on.

New

Honda CBR

I liked the first CBR so much that I bought a new one afterwards. I happily rode that one for a few years as well.

17 years

Yamaha FJR1300

With a motorbike holiday to Scotland in the works, it was time for a proper touring bike. For 17 years the FJR was my faithful travel companion.

Now

Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+

My latest addition. After 17 years on the FJR it was time for a new chapter, and the Tracer is ready for it: comfortable on long rides and packed with clever technology.

Heading north

We went on many holidays on the FJR. The very first one went straight to the far north of Scotland, to John o' Groats.

MSV Mike the Bike

In January 2005 I joined motorcycle club MSV Mike the Bike in Weert. That was the start of a whole new chapter.

I started as a regular member and have now been on the board for 14 years. Mike the Bike is and remains a great and friendly club, with lots of motorbike activities but plenty beyond that too.
