This is my personal website. I care about privacy and collect as little data as possible. Below you can read which data is processed anyway, and why.

Who is responsible?
This website belongs to Roy Schouten. If you have a question about your privacy, email roy@mijncomputer.nl.
What data do I collect?
As little as possible. This website has no contact forms, you can’t post comments and I don’t use any analytics software such as Google Analytics.
Data held by my hosting provider
As with any website, the server this site runs on stores technical data, such as your IP address, the time of your visit and your browser type. This is needed to keep the website secure and working properly. This data is kept by my hosting provider mijn.host and automatically deleted after about a month. From these log files I count anonymous totals, such as the number of visitors per day and the most viewed pages. Those totals contain no IP addresses and can’t be traced back to you.
Cookies
This website doesn’t set any tracking or advertising cookies itself. Only when I log in to manage the site does WordPress set functional cookies that are needed to stay logged in. To keep the website fast, the server uses a cache; no personal data is used for that.
Google Maps
The Work page contains a Google Maps map. When you visit that page, your browser loads the map directly from Google. Google may receive data such as your IP address and set cookies. You can read how Google handles this in Google’s privacy policy.
Links to other websites
This site contains links to other websites, such as those of De Bosuil, MSV Mike the Bike and RPI Print. If you click on them, the privacy statement of that website applies. I’m not responsible for how they handle your data.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right, among other things, to:
- ask which data I hold about you;
- have that data corrected or deleted;
- object to the use of your data.
To do so, email me at the address above. If you’re not happy with how I handle your privacy, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If something changes on this website, for example a new form or a different service, I’ll update this privacy statement. The date at the top shows when that last happened.
